Travelling Guidelines & Etiquette

I know you are probably thinking everything has etiquette these days... Sincerely, i feel that way sometimes, but truth be told, we need some guidelines sometimes. Ok, so i took the liberty of putting the list together for you my lovely readers so you won't have to do the research or wonder what to know.

-The first thing is to pick a place you want to visit. If you don't know already or confused about where to visit, then do some research on tripadvisor.com, travel channel, or the world wide web in general.

-After picking a place then decide on what is there to do in that city

-Make your accomodation arrangement at least for 1 night (you may decide to explore other cheaper avenues after you get there)

-Have a knowledge of the exchange rate before you go.

-Have a knowledge of language barrier if any and how to tackle that

-Read up on the culture of the people. Some do's and don'ts of the culture

-It is always nice to at least learn the basic greetings of a place you are visiting. People love it when you make effort to speak their language. You don't have to get it right, but try.

-If the hotel or villa you are staying does not have a safe, always carry your passport with you.

-Be willing to try the local food and learn and participate in their culture unless it is something that violates your belief.

-Always travel with a first aid kit (speaking from experience)

-Contact your embassy in the country you are visiting to let them know you are there in case of an emergency.

-Leave contact information of where you are going with someone in your country of origin.

-Never engage in a fight with the locals because more often than none, they will always win as you are the outsider.

Purpose driven blog

Passionate and adventurous do not even capture the extent to which i enjoy traveling, sight seeing, and going places in my city and around the globe. Eventhough i don't get to do it as often as i would love to, i still savor every moment of my trips and still get amazed at what a beautiful world, people, and culture we have on this earth. Hence the difficulty i have in understanding why people don't break out of their shell to explore and that is how this blog was born.

Though i am definitely not the best writer in my county not to talk of world, i still feel the need to connect with travel lovers and hopefully change the minds of not so travel friendly people to become enthusiastic in exploring the world around them. I will use this blog to talk about different aspects of travel and leisure and to help people understand how to best explore the beautiful world around them. Most of my posts will encompass my personal trip reviews, tips, and ideas for my readers.

Stay put and journey with me to whithersoever i choose to explore.
